EliteSpace On-board Computer(OBC)
Candidate for:EE Awards - AIoT/Embedded Platform
EliteSpace OBC is a radiation-tolerant flight computer specially designed for small satellite missions. Its patented rugged COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) architecture combines the cost-efficiency of commercial-grade components with the robustness required for space environments. This enables large-scale production and lowers manufacturing costs without compromising mission reliability.

Unlike traditional OBCs limited by older processors, EliteSpace OBC features the advanced ARM Cortex-M7, offering dynamic frequency scaling for power management and task optimization. The processor supports floating-point operations, enabling AI-driven tasks such as object recognition and image compression before transmission.

Radiation resilience is built directly into the circuit design, shielding key components from harsh cosmic conditions. Additionally, the system includes a foundational flight software package capable of controlling core satellite functions:
– Communications: Supports both low-bandwidth (UHF/VHF, S-band, X-band, L-band) and high-bandwidth (Ka-band, Ku-band) channels.
– Imaging: Controls onboard cameras.
– Sensing: Detects temperature, sunlight direction, and stellar positioning.
– ADCS (Attitude Determination and Control System): Enables satellite stabilization, directional control for solar charging, data transmission, or imaging.
– Power-saving mode: Automatically deactivates non-essential features like imaging during low battery and repositions the satellite for optimal solar charging.

With a wide range of built-in interfaces—UART, I2C, SPI, PC-104, SD card slot, and uniquely, CAN-Bus and RS-422—EliteSpace OBC ensures high adaptability for diverse mission demands. Its innovative fusion of commercial practicality and aerospace-grade reliability makes it an ideal choice for CubeSat developers worldwide.
