Kneron KNEO Pi, a development board that integrates a dedicated NPU, an open software ecosystem, and industrial-grade reliability, is redefining the possibilities and technological innovations of edge intelligence hardware. The KNEO Pi is equipped with Kneron's self-developed KDP series of neural network processors (NPUs) that provide up to 4 eTOPS of INT8 (or 7.2eTOPS of INT4) quantized computing power. Compared with traditional solutions relying on CPU/GPU (e.g. Raspberry Pi), the NPU can realize:  10 times energy efficiency improvement: camera data streams plus running YOLO object detection model only requires 2W power consumption, and the inferred speed reaches more than 30 FPS (Raspberry Pi CPU mode is only 2-3 FPS).
(1)Multi-tasking Parallel processing: supports 4-way camera data stream analysis (e.g. face recognition + vehicle detection + behavior analysis) simultaneously.
(2) 40-pin fully compatible GPIO: Seamless access to Raspberry Pi sensors, displays, and other expansion modules.
(3)KNEO Pi OS OS: Based on ArchLinux ARM deep optimization, pre-installed with NPU driver, multimedia codec library, and AI model library, to quickly complete the deployment of the model from boot.
